DMCC Mosport Photos
Hmmm, I suppose it would be appropriate to start off with a photo of Matt Waldin. Although, the Drift Posse might be a little upset, haha. Let’s begin!
“This spot I was in would only allow you to get decent photos of the straight and first corner otherwise your photos would be ruined by massive amounts of smoke on the second corner. It also gave a sweet downhill effect as well.“

“Finally some Posse photos! I got a laugh out of this one, always funny to see a bumper dragging behind a car.”

“Dave Briggs. Who can’t get enough of this guy? That’s all there is to say, Simply brilliant.”

“The god of drifting, Pat Cyr. Amazing angle from him. The grass was a bit wacko in this photo, reminds me of Shannonville’s grass. ALL BROWN…”
That’s all I’m putting up for now. Keep tabs on the DMCC Set on flickr.

Drift Mania Round 6 Results/Photo Teaser
DMCC Round 6 was my first big event I’ve shot at. I loved every second of it to! The energy felt good there as the day went on, not as big as the Quebec events but still makes you feel great. I met JAG for the first time to and he seemed really cool, haha. The set up of the track was perfect for media, there was so much freedom for photographers and filmmakers, some spots were kinda iffy to me though. The spot in the trees was only goo for the first corner and first straight at the top of the hill. Other than that your photos were smoke ruined. The last corner was sort of a low speed one, and by the time both cars reached there if they haven’t spun they were separated enough to ruin door to door pictures.
Round 6 Top 3
1. Marc Landreville
2. Bob Patinka
3. Claude Poirier
Matt Waldin could of place 3rd or still in 4th if his engine didn’t blow up.
Again, the Champion of DMCC was Matt Waldin leaving Pat Cyr to another Second Place finish. This is only pouring gas on the flame to let Sir Pat of Cyr burn higher. Next year will be his year!

Drift Mania Mosport Date Changed
I’m not sure if many of you have read but Drift Mania has rescheduled the Mosport event from Round 3 in July to Round 6 in September. The reason they have stated to do so was something along the lines of how great of a reputation Mosport has as an Ontario track and that they thought it would be an explosive event for the final round. I was told from someone that the real reason was because that Mosport demands they have a specific paved section to drift there which is not complete or won’t be untill at least September. According to Frank Mcguire this is what he had to say about it.
“Mosport is one of North America’s most prestigious motorsports facilities. We wanted to make sure that the Mosport round would be the
most exciting drift event, ever held in Canada!! By moving the Ontario round, to the end of what is sure
to be a wild and crazy event filled summer. We can use these other events, to better promote our
Ontario event, it’s a win win situation for all parties”
You can download the full PDF document at there Info site at http://info.dmccdrift.com/
Also don’t forget to check out there main site at http://ww2.dmccdrift.com/
So the new date for Round 3 is July 17th/18th at Circuit Icar in Mirabel Quebec. Round 6 is on September 18th/19th at Mosport Race Track in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Gumball 3000 Rides with Drift Mania!
So I’m sure all of you have heard of the Gumball 3000, and a majority Drift Mania depending on your origin. This was actually my very first shoot to and it went alright if I might say so myself. A ton of my photos were over exposed and got ruined in the editing process but some turned out okay during the edit. I want to thank Andrew Gregg for helping me out with everything! Now lets take a look at some of the photos.

“This is a Nissan Skyline R32. It is one of my favorite pictures I took at the event. The car stands out perfectly. I did make a mistake with not editing the plates though.”

“I can’t remember the name of this drifter but he was great on the skid pad in Shannonville. He had a beautiful sounding car as well. Just amazing to see in real life.”

“This picture I actually sent in to the local paper here. It is a Ferarri F430, and yes I did make it in there to! You can check my Flickr Account to paper.”
